i bare my teeth and try to smile i’ve been trying for quite a while
my facial muscles start to ache and i can’t wince the pain away a victim of this circumstance staring out the expanse wonders if there is a chance that you’re alone
i close my eyes and take a breath but i can’t sleep i think of death and how the two might be the same but hide behind some gentler name and if so flesh is just a word and in reverse it’s just absurd so start to speak if you haven’t heard that you’re alone
a time will come if it hasn’t already when all this youth will abandon my body and it won’t matter if i’m not ready a time will come if it hasn’t yet
